Two New Programs Under Construction

Take the LEAD

VALUE

IN RECESS DUE TO COVID -19 response

The aim of this course is to develop the leadership potential and skills of young Christian Students. Students will be taught the theories behind successful leadership in church and the workforce. Once completed students will have experienced and demonstrated positive leadership skills within a team environment. Students will also be encouraged to develop small group programs and taught how to handle the scriptures with integrity. Students will be introduced to various leadership styles and encouraged to understand their own style and ability.

LEAD will use a combination of resources from Scripture Union NSW along with resources freely available in the public domain to deliver a Christian Leadership Course primarily for students involved in the ISCF Lunchtime Group "Chips and Chat". LEAD will use the model of A2B from Queensland Scripture Union to provide students with an action and reflection based learning environment.

VALUE intends to break this cycle of low self-esteem and identity confusion, by giving these young people the opportunity to hit pause and have a concentrated study of what perfection really is. To allow the students time to evaluate the opinions of those who truly care for them. VALUE gives the students the perspective of their creator, reminding them that God doesn’t create junk. Encouraging that God has painstakingly crafted every millimetre of them, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. VALUE seeks to remind students that they can trust in God’s VALUE of them because he Loves them so much that he sent his only Son to suffer in our place so we have the opportunity to live and not die. VALUE intends simply to help students see that they truly are worthy, that they are unique, and that God has a purpose for their lives.

VALUE will use a mixture of activities to instil in girls and boys that they are loved and worthy of good things to happen to them.

VALUE will be fully bible based utilising bible studies, small group discussions, creativity craft projects along with physical activities and self-reflection techniques to aide students in exploring their worth, value and purpose.

Both these programs have the approval to be ran as a trial, while they're still undergoing development. Take the LEAD is currently being delivered to a selection of students already involved in the ISCF Lunchtime Group. VALUE is planned on being delivered in term 3 2018 to a selection of yr9 students.
